On the 3rd Day of Christmas, I’ll share with you a little known secret in Real Estate about the holiday season in December….

So I’m only on the 3rd Day of Christmas, and here we are, Dec 17, with only a week to go until Christmas Eve! Where has the time gone?

It’s gone to hustling for our buyers and sellers during this incredible holiday season!

So, for this 3rd Day of Christmas Post, I wanted to share with you this:

December is one of the busiest times for real estate, and so few people know it.

Many people believe that we roll up our sidewalks in the month of December and kick back and bake cookies, when nothing is further from the truth.

Did you know that home buyers do not stop looking during the month of December? They don’t even slow down a week before Christmas. Do you know why? Because they need to buy a house.

Take for example this new listing that I just put on the market yesterday – 5059 Lorelei Ave, Lakewood, CA 90712. This 3 bedroom 2 bath just hit the market at $675,000 and our first day to show this house is Friday (tomorrow) and the second day to show is Saturday.

As of right now, we have 3 showings booked for Friday and a whopping 9 showings scheduled for Saturday! Nine!

So I will be there, with my face mask and face shield, fielding buyers and their agents, making sure everyone has their hand sanitizer and masks on, and not touching anything, and looking at the house! Making sure everyone stays safe and my seller is safe, and getting the best offers on his house.

FACTS: Buyers are outnumbering sellers in this market. Interest rates are remaining low. Inventory is at an all-time low. Supplies of homes for sale are extremely limited. There are more new homes sold each week than come on the market. Given this, how do you feel home sellers are making out in this market?

That’s right!

Home prices are up over 18% in our area compared to last year.
